For young or inexperienced horses, the journey to us may be one of their first experiences of loading and travelling. One of the advantages of using our transport service is that Guy can be involved from the moment we arrive to collect your horse.
With many years of experience starting young horses and working with horses of different ages, backgrounds and temperaments, Guy can give an inexperienced horse the time and guidance it needs to load calmly and confidently, making the collection part of the horse’s overall education rather than simply getting them onto the box.
Before we collect your horseWhen arranging transport, we’ll ask about your horse’s previous loading and travelling experience. Please let us know if your horse:
Horses with established loading problemsIt is important to distinguish Robertson Horse Transport from our Loading & Travelling Training.
Our collection service can accommodate young or inexperienced horses that may need some additional help to load. However, it is not a standalone problem-solving service for horses with established or significant loading difficulties.
If your horse has a known loading problem, please discuss this with us before booking. We may recommend separate loading training so that your horse can be given the appropriate time and training without the pressure of needing to travel that day.
Collection as part of your training packageIf your horse is coming to us for Preschool, Starting, Restarting or further training, Robertson Horse Transport may be able to collect them and bring them directly to our yard.
Simply mention transport when making your training enquiry and we’ll discuss your horse’s loading history, collection location and training booking before providing a quote.
