Horsemanship, ROPING & CUTTING DEMONSTRATION
Location: Top Barn Horsemanship Centre, Crabtree Lane,Duntisbourne Leer,Cirencester, GL77AS. Click here
Date: Saturday 28th April 2018
Host: Zoe Bond
TIME: 6pm to 8pm
Come join us for an exciting and informative evening demonstration that gives you the opportunity to see Guys program up close and personal.
The evening will feature two horses focusing on horsemanship in the first half and virtual cow working in the second half (roping/cutting). The demo finishes with a Q&A session that gives you a chance to ask any questions you might have or to get some advice on a particular problem.
Working cows offers a training opportunity that can not be replicated anywhere else. It requires you to work with your horse as a team mate to achieve a common goal, it develops confidence in your horse, it requires that you be able to control your horses different body parts and move them, it requires a high level of accuracy, but mostly it helps them understand and gives a purpose to what it is you want from them.
One of the principle reasons for failure when trying to 'train' your horse is that they simply don't understand what you're trying to communicate. By giving them a job to do, it helps eliminate this confusion.
